TEMPLE TERRACE - Just two years out of college and into her job as a reading teacher, Debra Beasley Lafave was arrested Monday. The Greco Middle School teacher was charged with committing lewd and lascivious acts on or in the presence of a 14-year-old.

Debra Lafave's trial has been rescheduled for the 25th of April. She is expected to enter a not guilty by way of insanity plea. The newlywed Debra Beasly Lafave Was held on $25,000 bail, but it was reduced to $15,000 later. Her lawyer had no comment besides mentioning that there is a "presumption of innocence" in this country.... The scoop is this: Debra Beasley Lafave is accused of having sex with the 14 year old once in the school, and of giving the kid head in a car while his 15 year old cousin drove.
